Itinerary

The Huc Bridge - Ha Noi CapitalDay 1: HANOI ARRIVAL (D)

Arrive at Noi Bai international airport. Welcomed by our local tour guide and driver. Transfer to your hotel in the city center. Take an orientation tour o­n a cyclo (if time permits). Welcome dinner. Overnight in Hanoi.

 

Day 2: HANOI CITY TOUR - TRAIN TO SAPA (B,L)

Breakfast at hotel. Visit the Ho Chi Minh Complex, containing the Ho Chi Minh Mausoleum, the Presidential Palace, Ho Chi Minh's house o­n stilts and the O­ne Pillar Pagoda. Continue on to the Temple of Literature, Vietnam's first university. Lunch at a local restaurant. In the afternoon, visit the Hoan Kiem lake, Ngoc Son temple, Tran Quoc pagoda and Quan Thanh temple. Cyclo ride around the old quarter streets from Hang Dau to Hang Gai to witness the bustling life of local. Transfer to the train station for departure to Sapa on the night train. Overnight in an air-conditioned soft sleeper cabin.  Lao Cai - Sapa

 

Day 3: SAPA - LAO CHAI, TA VAN TREKKING (B,L,D)

Arrive at Lao Cai station at 5:00am. Pick up at Lao Cai Station then transfer to Sapa. Have breakfast and shower in the hotel before the trip starts. Trek down to Lao Chai village to visit the Tay and Dzay tribes. Have a picnic lunch, then cross the Sapa valley to Ta Van village, which is renowned for its exquisite beauty. Return to Sapa by car/bus. Overnight in Sapa.

 

Day 4: SAPA - LAO CAI - HANOI (B,L,D)

Breakfast at the hotel. Then visit Giang Ta Chai village of the Red Zdao tribe where you will have lunch. After lunch, check out and leave your luggage at the hotel before heading down to Cat Cat and Sin Chai villages of Black H'Mong tribe. Enjoy the waterfall in Cat Cat and the beautiful scenery along the way. Transfer to Lao Cai to board the overnight train back to Hanoi. Day 5: HANOI - HALONG BAY CRUISE (B,L,D)

Arrive in Hanoi at around 5am. Pick up at the railway station. Transfer to a restaurant for breakfast. Then leave for Halong Bay. Arrive at HaLong Bay and board a traditional wooden junk. Have lunch with fresh seafood on board, then cruise to visit the legendary Halong Bay, Thien Cung cave, Dau Go cave, Dog island, Sail island and Titop Beach. Have dinner o­n the junk as you enjoy the sunset. Dinner and overnight stay o­n the junk. (Optional: Kayaking).

 

Day 6: HALONG - HANOI (B,L)

Have breakfast. Continue cruising and passing man's head island, Tortoise island, Toad island, Bai Tho mountain. Return and have lunch o­n the junk. Back to Halong wharf. Coach trip back to Hanoi. Dinner o­n your account. Overnight in Hanoi. japanese bridge Hoian

 

Day 7: HANOI - HUE (B,L)

Breakfast at hotel. Free time for shopping before transfering to Noi Bai airport for boarding flight to Hue. Pick up and transfer to hotel. In the afternoon, visit Dong Ba market, the Imperial Citadel from where the Nguyen Dynasty ruled between 1802 and 1945, and the ruins of the Purple Forbidden City. Enjoy the night boat trip on the Perfume river and the Hue royal folk songs. Overnight in Hue.

 

Day 8: HUE CITY TOUR (B,L)

Breakfast at the hotel. Take a morning boat trip o­n the Perfume River to visit Royal tomb of Emperor Tu Duc, Thien Mu pagoda and the mausoleum of Emperor Minh Mang, in a setting of gardens and lakes. At leisure in the afternoon. Overnight in Hue.

Day 9: HUE - DA NANG - HOI AN (B,L)

Breakfast at hotel. In the morning, head towards Hoi An (about 3 hours). Drive along Lang Co beach and through Hai Van Pass to Da Nang city. Continue to Hoi An, which was originally a Cham seaport influenced down the centuries by traders from various cultures. O­n the way, stop at the Marble Mountains. The charm of Hoi An makes it o­ne of the most delightful places to visit in Vietnam. Overnight in Hoi An

 

Day 10: HOI AN (B,L)

Breakfast at hotel. Then set out early to visit the morning market. Afterwards, stroll around the town, visit the Japanese Covered Bridge, the Pottery Museum, Tan Ky old house, the Cantonese congregation, the silk street of Hoi An and the Chinese-style temples and pagodas. In the afternoon, visit My Son holy land temple of Champa people - one of the World Cultural Heritage site. Return to Hoi An. Dinner and overnight in Hoi An

Day 11: HOI AN - NHA TRANG (B,L)

Breakfast at hotel. Free for shopping in Hoi An. Depart for Da Nang to visit the Cham Museum, home to Vietnam's largest collection of Champa treasures. Lunch at a local restaurant before transferring to Da Nang airport for boarding flight to Nha Trang. Pick up at airport and transfer to hotel. At leisure in the afternoon. Overnight in Nha Trang.

 

Day 12: NHA TRANG OFFSHORE ISLANDS (B,L)

Breakfast at hotel. Take the morning boat trip to visit the Tri Nguyen Aquarium and the off-shore islands around Nha Trang, including Mun Mot island. Enjoy swimming, snorkeling and beach sport activities. Lunch at Tam island with fresh seafood. Return to Nha Trang. Overnight in Nha Trang.

 

Day 13: NHA TRANG - HCM, CITY TOUR (B,L)Hochiminh (Saigon) city tour

Breakfast at hotel. Transfer to Cam Ranh airport for boarding flight to Ho Chi Minh City. Pick up and transfer to hotel. Take a sightseeing tour of the city, including the Reunification Palace, which was the residence of the President of South Vietnam until the end of the war in April 1975, and some beautiful French colonial structures including the Notre Dame Cathedral and the Old Central Post Office. Tour of Chinatown and Thien Hau and Quan Am pagodas. After seeing the Emperor Jade Pagoda and the War Remnants Museum, we end the city tour at Ben Thanh market where you can join the local daily life and do some shopping. Overnight in HCMC.

 

Day 14: HCMC - TAY NINH - CU CHI TUNNELS (B,L)

Ben Duoc Temple - Cu ChiBreakfast at hotel. Overland west to Tay Ninh, headquarters of Cao Dai region. O­n arrival, attend the fantastic mid-day temple service when followers fill the hall wearing colored robes, a symbol of the curious combination of Confucianism, Taoism and Buddhism. O­n the way back, visit the Cu Chi Tunnels, an underground network of tunnels constructed by Vietnamese fighters during the struggle for independence. The tunnels contained hospitals, accommodation, etc. and were used as a military base for the Vietcong during the American war. Return to HCMC. Dinner and overnight in HCMC.

 

Day 15: HCMC - CAI BE - VINH LONG (B,L)

Breakfast at hotel. Drive to the Upper Mekong Delta and take a motorised boat to visit the Cai Be floating market, wander into the villages to experience the daily life of the local people and enjoy some fresh fruit grown in their orchards. TaVinh Long Marketke a relaxing cruise to Vinh Long and experience the charms of the Upper Mekong iver. Visit Binh Hoa Phuoc village. Lunch served right in the heart of the bonsai garden. Take the boat back to the mainland. Return to Ho Chi Minh City. Dinner o­n your own. Overnight in HCMC. 

 

Day 16: HCMC DEPARTURE (B)

Breakfast at hotel. Free for your own activities until transferring to the airport for departure.
