Sapa - Bac Ha market 4 days by jeepSapa, nestling in a beautiful valley on the border with China, is northwest Vietnam’s most colorful destination. Vivid green rice terraces are sculpted into the mountain sides while in the fields H’mong and Dao women work dressed in colorful traditional clothes. Taking a tour to this mountainous area by car, jeep or motorbike might bring wonderful experiences to travelers who like a bit adventures itineraryDay 1: Hanoi – Lao Cai – Sapa (B, L, D) Our guide and driver pick you up at your hotel for a 10 hour drive to Sapa. Stop along the way for taking photos of panorama of Vietnamese countryside and meet hilltribes people, stop for lunch in Yen Bai. Arrive in Sapa late in the afternoon. After checking into hotel we can soak up the fresh climate spending our time wandering around this charming town and some villas of the French period. Overnight at hotel in Sapa.
Day 2: Sapa – Lao Chai – Cat Cat (B, L, D) After breakfast, start to trek to Lao Chai village following buffalo paths and trails leading through several hill tribe villages. This is an absolutely spectacular walk through stunning scenery inhabited by some of the friendliest people you wish to encounter; your guide will be your interpreter while strolling around the village. Take a drive back to Sapa stopping sometimes en route to take photos of the fabulous valleys. In the afternoon we take a short walk to H’mong ethnic minority village of Cat Cat in the valley where very generally uncorrupted outside forces still remain. Visit Cat Cat Waterfall then back to Hotel. Overnight at hotel in Sapa.
Day 3: Sapa – Can Cau market – Bac Ha (B, L, D) This morning we bid farewell to Sapa and catch our jeep for a 120 km drive to Can Cau (Cancau) market, basic but full of the hill tribes with colorful customs. The market is just some km from border with China and attended by many ethnic minorities such as Flower H’mong, Nung, and Dzao. They all come down from mountainous, isolated villages taking along with horses, buffaloes, cats, dogs, chickens for sales. You will experience the cultures and lifestyles of the hill tribes. Back to Bac Ha around noon, after checking into hotel we can enjoy a walk to visit the H’mong King’s former residence and Ban Pho where villagers make the local maize alcohol.
Day 4: Bac Ha – Hanoi (B, L) After breakfast at hotel, we embark on the return drive to Hanoi. Along the way we will make numerous photo stops as we pass through different hill tribe villages. Stop for Lunch on the way. Back to Hanoi Late in the afternoon. Tour ends in Hanoi.
